Excursions depart from the Panther River Retreat for 3 to 7 days from June 15 to September 30 to mountain lakes stocked with Cutthroat Trout up to three pounds and Eastern Brookies up to 22 inches. Mountain lakes can be fished from rafts or belly boats. High mountain streams abound with Bull Trout (catch and release) and Rocky Mountain Whitefish up to two pounds. Both fly and spin cast using lures and flies are successful.

Fishing season opens April 1 on the Red Deer River and June 15 on the Panther River. You can combine a day's riding with fishing for the cost of the day ride. You can overnight at the Tent Camp and return the following day if desired.
